We share the Trust’s vision that young people are the future. We are committed to empowering our students with the knowledge and skills they need to face the challenges of the climate crisis and become responsible global citizens. Our Climate Plan outlines simple, practical steps we are taking as a school community to reduce our environmental impact and promote sustainability.

Climate Step How?
Learning for a Greener Future

Integrate climate education into our curriculum to help students understand the science and social impact of climate change.

Assemblies, eco-club meetings, and student-led campaigns raise awareness and action.

Using Energy Wisely We’re working to make our school more energy efficient by:

  • Switching to LED lighting
  • Encouraging students and staff to turn off lights and devices
  • Exploring renewable energy opportunities for our buildings e.g. solar pannels
  • Installing new litter bins across the school site
  • Litter picking to keep the school site clean
  • Introducing food waste collection.
Reducing Waste Our waste-reduction initiatives include:

  • Labelled bins for recycling (in classrooms and offices), compost (in the hall), and landfill (in classrooms, offices and outside)
  • Digital-first policies to cut down on paper
  • Clean-up events e.g. litter picking across the school site.
Greener Ways to Get to School Promote sustainable travel by encouraging:

  • Walking and biking to school
  • Car sharing and public transport
  • Participating in “Walk or Bike to School” days
