Chantry House System: Building Pride, Community and Friendly Competition

The Chantry House System has been a valued part of school life for many years, uniting generations of pupils through teamwork, friendly competition, and a shared sense of identity. In January 2024, the system was refreshed and relaunched, strengthening its role in school culture. Rooted in Morpeth’s rich heritage, each of our four houses is named after a historic local family and paired with a British animal mascot rescued from extinction — a symbol of resilience and renewal. As part of the relaunch, pupils and staff also voted for a house anthem, capturing the spirit and character of each house.
